The P-square Event Summit, an off-shoot of the P-square Events Training Institute (PETI), hosted her 4th business summit edition tagged, Innovation and Ingenuity at the Psquare Event Empire recently in Akure, Ondo State.
The Summit kicked off with an address from the convener enjoining participants to stay focused during the summit so that they can enjoy its benefit to its fullest. The summit was then declared open by the First Lady of Ondo State, Her Excellency, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, represented by The Honourable Commissioner for Women’s Affairs, Dr Mrs Osadahunsi who reaffirmed that the Ondo state government is committed to ensuring businesses thrive in Ondo State.
The Psquare Event summit started with a panel session that saw two seasoned business experts, Hon Olayato Aribo, the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry and Dr. Mrs Abiola Bashorun, the Group CEO of ZL Global Alliance speak during the session moderated by Omolola Akinbo, an elocution coach and public speaker.
The panelists charged the participants to delay immediate gratification for their business growth, and they also charged them to have business structure as that was a prerequisite for them to get more business opportunities.
The summit continued on with five Speakers, Dr. Summy Smart Francis, The Special Adviser to the Ondo state Government on Entrepreneurship and President, A.Y.E, who spoke on dealing with challenges when they happen. Funke Bucknor Obruthe, CEO of Zapphire Group, who was the Keynote Speaker spoke on the theme, Innovation and Ingenuity. Foluso Ogunjimi, also known as Sokoyokoto, CEO Alagarede Academy, spoke on Innovating while maintaining your culture. Foluke Adedokun, CEO fruitieworld, also spoke on building a community, developing one’s business identity and personal branding. Afopefoluwa Akinde, the CEO of 524 events, spoke about branding as a key to building trust and credibility with your target audience. Above all, the speakers concluded that the most important factor to innovation and ingenuity in business, is improving one’s business process.
During the business summit, 5 businesses were empowered financially with 50,000 naira business grants for their business growth. The business empowerment was sponsored by Mrs Bola Okolie, the CEO of Bonix Drinks..
The P-square Event summit 4.0 saw over 100 participants, dignitaries, invited guests, veterans and speakers and it was a most impactful day, learning, unlearning and relearning. In the words of some participants, they described the summit as one they wouldn’t forget for a long time and said that they were glad they attended the summit, because it brought with it, practical and insightful steps to taking their business to the next level.
