Children are excited to learn when they do not lack nutritious food. We all know children need food to support their growth and development but sadly, 42% of school children in Nigeria are malnourished due to food insecurity.
The Lagos Food Bank Initiative, in its bid to reduce food insecurity, malnutrition, and school absenteeism among students, started a school feeding program called EDUFOOD (Education Enhancement Intervention for Food Insecure students).
With this program, they have been able to reach 400 children in Low-Cost Private Schools situated in Lagos. While they are making progress, their target is to reach over 4000 school children in 2021 but they cannot achieve this in time without your support. The cost to feed a child per day is ₦380.
