Over 20 youths from the Orile Iganmu community were inaugurated into the institution to begin the life-changing experience of learning ICT. They join the ranks of hundreds of others that we have trained through the years who are finding their niches in the limitless digital work space.
The OIPA President Bode Modale welcomed the new students to the January – June free ICT training program. He further spoke of his community’s love for Kinabuti Fashion Initiative and expressed their gratitude for the continuous partnership between Kinabuti, Jotna and OIPA in giving the youths basic ICT skills.
Francesca Rosset of Kinabuti addressed the new intakes and encouraged them to take the training seriously. She further thanked Jotna for supporting this project. She briefly reflected on the impact of Kinabuti’s work in Orile Iganmu for 11 years in partnership with OIPA. She noted that they have developed a wonderful relationship based on trust and respect. She thanked them for being such a great host for all the projects they have been doing and expressed how much they at Kinabuti love OIPA.
On behalf of the new students, Daniel Agoha thanked Kinabuti for their continued support of the institute. He also appreciated the Jotna group for facilitating this training on a platter of gold and giving them basic skills that will serve them.
Ably represented by Philip Chilaka, the innovation manager Jotna, the company thanked the OIPA president for looking inward to see what he can do for his community and encouraged the association to continue in their good works. He said the Jotna group is happy to Partner with OIPA and would happily explore other opportunities in the future because the free training is touching lives. Furthermore, the training platform is equal to what you get all over the globe.
Finally, OIPA Instructor Ademola Ashafa thanked everyone for coming to the inaugural ceremony and brought the ceremony to a close. As the guests returned to their various destinations, we look forward to seeing the new intakes transform their lives through learning.
